The jail’s garden began in the spring of 2011, starting with one acre and quickly growing into two acres. This project has given the inmates fresh fruits and vegetables to eat. They will also be freezing and canning them. Not only will this help reduce the cost of food for the jail, but also it allows our female inmates to participate in the community service program.
